Description:
This connector adapter attaches to SOME Alinco radios that have a DB9 data (modem) jack with two supplied screws. This adapter also works on the Yaesu FT-2600 mobile. There are some other radios and other manufacturers that also use a DB-9F connector and the wiring is totally incompatible. Please do the research to know if your radio is compatible.

It converts the DB9 female on the radio to Mini-DIN-6 female, allowing an inexpensive Mini-DIN-6 male-to-male cable to be used between the radio and radio adapter, as long as no internal modem card is installed. If the optional EJ-41U internal TNC board is installed, this adapter won't work. You can remove the internal modem and wire the DB9 bypassing the modem so it works properly.

Installation:
Two sets of screws are provided.
Older model Alinco radios use 4-40 thread, while newer models (like DR-135TMKIII) are metric and have a finer pitch. We provide 2 screws of each type.
Be careful when tightening the screws. Damage to the either connector is possible if the screws are torqued too tightly. Snug is fine.

TX baud selection between 1200 and 9600 baud is done by moving a mechanical jumper "short". No soldering required.

Optional Connection:
Hole 8 = Optional connection to the radios DB9 pin 8.

Available assembled and tested (only) with screws.
