DRA-100 Product Documentation
Step-by-Step Instructions for
installing the DRA-100 circuit board (either model)
into the all aluminum case (either color)
1. The top of the box has machined grooves, while the bottom of the case is smooth.
Install the rear panel on one end of the aluminum box with four hex screws and the 3/32"
Allen wrench.
Later model units are supplied with standard 2.5X5mm black Phillips head screws.
The RJ45 model will need the 1/8" speaker jack installed into the round hole.
DIN models don't have this jack or hole.
Route the speaker pigtail through the case and plug it into SJ1 on the circuit board.
The bottom of the case is smooth. Using the lettering as reference, orient the back panel
correctly before installing the screws.
2. Slide the DRA-100 circuit board (connector end first) into the PC board slot of the case.
The slot has a defined top and bottom 'rail'. It's possible to insert the board incorrectly, but the
connectors won't line up and come slightly through the rear panel.
3. Ensure that the front edge of the DRA-100 circuit board is flush with the front edge of the case (box).
4. Place one plastic spacer washer onto the threaded body of each the three control pots.
Rotate the washers so the cut away portion is toward the circuit board - for clearance.
5. Carefully place the front panel over the pots while aligning the LED’s and the PWR button.
6. Secure the front panel onto the case with four hex head screws.
Everything should fit snugly but not place excessive stress on the board or any components -
especially the shaft pots.
7. Secure the shaft pots with hex nuts.
Do NOT overtighten these nuts - just snug is good - the threads on the pots are plastic.
8. Turn each of the pots shafts fully counterclockwise - until they reach their stop.
9. Install a knob onto each pot and position the knob indicator at the first line.
Secure the knobs with the .050 Allen wrench - - Do NOT over-tighten the set screws.
10. Check for easy rotation of each knob.
If a knob 'catches' on a hex nut, loosen the set screw and slightly pull the knob straight out
and retighten the set screw.
11. Install the four remaining screws to hold the front panel.
12. If desired, install the four rubber feet onto the bottom corners of the case (box).
13. Attach the High-Quality ferrite equipped USB cable to your computer and the DRA-100.
