    The DRA-80 VOX is compatible with the IC-706MKIIG, ID-880H and most other rigs.

    The DRA-80 is similar to the DRA-70 with one major change. The DRA-80 has been fitted with a high-quality reed relay to provide the low voltage drop switching required by some radios for push-to-talk (PTT). The ICOM IC-706MKIIG and ID-880H require this type of PTT switching action to operate properly. Most other radios work fine with the solid-state switching of the DRA-70. The operation of the reed relay is nearly silent.
