Installing the DRA-SR board into the SignaLink USB Case
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove the cables from the rear of your SignaLink USB.
2. Using a 1.5MM Allen wrench, remove the three knobs (TX-RX-DLY) from the front panel.
3. Using a 3/32" Allen wrench, remove the four screws at the corners of the front panel.
4. Remove the front panel. Do NOT remove the rear panel.
5. At the rear panel, gently push on the RJ45 jack until the circuit board slides out the front.
6. Set the SignaLink USB circuit board aside.
7. Slide the DRA-SR circuit board into the bottom slot of the case. Push on the circuit board not the pots.
8. The connectors should slightly protrude through the back panel.
9. Ensure the front edge of the DRA-SR circuit board is flush with the front edge of the metal case.
NOTE: If there are nuts on the shafts of the pots - remove them.
If there are plastic washers on the shafts of the pots - Do NOT remove them.
10. Place a plastic washer over each of the shafts of the three pots and rotate them for proper clearance.
NOTE: These washers may have been preinstalled (glued) into place. If not - place them now.
These washers are internal and go up against the square body of the pot.
11. Carefully place the SignaLink front panel over the pots while aligning the LED's and the PWR button.
NOTE: Do NOT install the nuts onto the pots at this time.
12. Install the four corner screws to secure the front panel to the case. Do not over-tighten these screws.
13. Install a hex nut onto each pot. Carefully tighten the nut against the front panel.
NOTE: Do NOT overtighten these nuts - just snug is good - the threads on the pots are plastic.
14. Turn the shaft on each of the pots fully counterclockwise.
15. Install a knob onto each pot and position the knob indicator at the first line. Do not over-tighten the set screws.
16. Attach the High-Quality ferrite equipped USB cable to your computer and the new unit.
