Model Kenwood-25 Adapter
An accessory (option) port connector adapter for some Kenwood commercial radios - like the TK-790 / 890 and TK-7180.

This adapter board works with some Kenwood commercial radios that utilize a DB25 female option connector.
It converts the radio's 25 pin accessory (option) jack to Mini-DIN-6 female.

Works on Kenwood TK-790 / 890 and TK-7180 radios.
While these radios utilize different pins for transmit audio -
a simple 3-pin mechanical header selects which pin is connected.
No soldering required.

Kenwood TK-790 / 890 radios require the TXA Select jumper set to "13".
Kenwood TK-7180 radios require the TXA Select jumper set to "5".

Description:
This connector adapter attaches to SOME Kenwood radios that have a DB25 accessory (option) jack. It converts the DB25 female option jack to Mini-DIN-6 female, allowing an inexpensive Mini-DIN-6 male-to-male cable to be used between the radio and DRA. Our DRAC-12 and DIN6-Shortie cables are compatible with this adapter board. The DB25 male connector has gold plated contacts.

This adapter connects both 1200 (Speaker) and 9600 (Discriminator) receive audio to separate pins on the Mini-DIN-6 connector under the industry standard pinout. The TXA Pin selection is done by the TXA Select header on this board. RX baud selection is done on the DRA. No Soldering Required!

The board simply plugs in and is secured with two screws (supplied).
