This device allows one repeater to be alternately connected to D-Star, DMR (some form of digital voice) or AllStar Link (analog). The current product is all thru-hole to allow assembly and repair by the common technician. Brief Description:
The MUX-25 board was produced from a three-part schematic
supplied by two Canadian hams - VA3UV and VA3RQ. It's intended
to connect one analog and one digital radio interface (DVM) to one repeater - making it multi-mode.
The radio connector is designed for a Kenwood TKR-750/850 repeater, but will easily adapt to most
any repeater as the signals are generic in nature. The analog side is a AllStar node and the
digital side is D-STAR or DMR using your favorite application and support hardware. The board has a few
refinements and additions over the original schematic supplied as BMP images. The additions are
two LEDs for PTT status of analog and digital, and ability to source the audio amplifiers of RA boards
from the 12V that powers this board.
